UFC Freedom 250 is set to take place on the White House’s South Lawn on 14 June, US President Donald Trump’s 80th birthday, and is also part of celebrations to mark the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
The BBC’s White House reporter Bernd Debusmann takes an up-close look at the Octagon, or fight stage, and “the Claw”, a 92ft (28.04 meters) tall, 154ft (46.94 meters) wide structure that will light up the South Lawn where more than 4,300 people are expected to attend the event.
