A man has been charged in relation to a bomb which was discovered in a car in the Republic of Ireland.
The vehicle was stopped on the N2 near Carrickmacross on Wednesday as part of an operation targeting alleged dissident republican activity.
The man in his 40s is due to appear before a special sitting at the Criminal Courts of Justice on Saturday evening.
On Friday, a 25-year-old woman was charged in relation to the same incident.
