A man has been charged over the alleged hit-and-run death of schoolboy Keaton Slater in Coventry more than two years ago.
Dolars Aleksanders was extradited from Latvia, where he was detained last month, and has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, West Midlands Police said on Wednesday night.
The 23-year-old Latvian man was taken into custody after arriving in the UK and is due to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court on Thursday.
Keaton, 12, died after being hit by a black BMW in Coventry on 14 June 2024 while on his way home from school.
